Tron

Tron is a decentralized blockchain platform that facilitates the development and deployment of decentralized applications (dApps) and smart contracts. Launched in 2017 by the Tron Foundation, it aims to create a global digital content ecosystem, allowing users to publish, store, and own data without intermediaries. The Tron network uses a native cryptocurrency called TRX (Tronix) to facilitate transactions and incentivize participation within the ecosystem. Tron employs a delegated proof-of-stake (DPoS) consensus mechanism, enabling efficient and scalable transaction processing. The platform has gained recognition for its focus on the entertainment industry, particularly in providing a framework for content creators to monetize their work directly.
